Hoodlum Vampire?
The Thrill-Seeker has a real what-the-fuck cover.
When I first saw it I couldn't decide if it was supposed to be a horror novel about a cigarette-smoking vampire or a juvenile delinquent with a costume fetish. I see the Ray Damon novel shows up on a checklist of science fiction porn.
So I guess the character really is a vampire. My guess was that the cover art was one of the typical kids in the alley sort used for JD fiction. The art director decided to save some money by having the vampire garb painted over.
