I live in one of the more intensely protestant areas of a very protestant nation. That is why images of sadistic nuns torturing novices leave me indifferent. (I don't have a personal interest in F/f sadomasochism either.) But I don't fret over sadists' habiliments, career choices or hobbies so a perverse nun who wanted to torment me would be fine.
