Dolce & Gabbana : Dominatrix Drag
See more » Fashion
We can look forward to yet another burst of photos from Dolce & Gabbana’s advertising to flood femdom blogs in the near future.
Given that in the new campaign the women are weilding whips and not just using guys as human furniture the latest batch may prove even more popular.
With autumn/winter 07 a wash with body conscious designs, knee high boots and patent leather, it comes as no surprise that the advertising campaigns are going to be, well daring.
Bitchy Jones might have something to say about that dream. For some of us those whips are a mite more than a symbol. (I do remember when as a young man Michaelangelo was my idea of porn.)
“It’s the vision of a dream more than reality, where the whip symbolises women’s power and where the naked models refer to a classic beauty inspired by Michelangelo,” explains Stefano Gabbana. “We wanted to place this artistic reference above everyday reality, but there was no intent to be vulgar or offend anyone’s human dignity.”
Aside from the expensive couture these things are part of the reality of some of us.
“Since these images have offended someone, we want to stress that we wanted to represent a strong and dominatrix woman, as is today’s woman,” … “We wanted to place this artistic reference above everyday reality, but there was no intent to be vulgar or offend anyone’s human dignity.”
Another risque ad campaign from Dolce & Gabbana
The first time I saw something like this I thought it was a bit neat. After all the saturation it just seems like another species of banality to me.
