On the title track of her new Discipline (Island Def Jam) album, over a loop of heavy breathing and Prince-ly slow-grinding synth-funk, Janet Jackson coos, "Take out your frustrations on me."

Classy tryptich cardboard sleeve. Booklet goes for a hard, metallic look in which Jackson is posed as a sexy dominatrix. Yet there are also photos that suggest maturity. Gasp.
It's sad that it's come to this. Here she is on the cover of Discipline wearing dominatrix gloves, with a title cut that has her telling "Daddy" that "I need some discipline tonight / I've been very bad."

I love this. Why is it that with Janet that the statement, "It has come down to this?" always made. From the time she made Control, she explored her sexuality with "Funny How Time Flies" and the moans...When Madonna does it, it is innovative. When Janet does it, she has suddenly run out of ideas...This song is hot and her tour proved how she changed it up.
