Nazi Sleaze

I first became a fan of Norman Saunders' painting as a boy when I checked out books in the Winston juvenile science fiction series. Saunders did the covers and the famous endpapers. Little did I suspect he was also the man who did the covers of the men's magazines on sale at the drug store.

When it wasn't evil Nazis it was commies, especially those damnably wicked Cubans.

These were fairly popular for a time. As a kid I was merely baffled. It didn't scar or warp me to walk past them.
